Image result for worcester massachusetts city hall

Worcester has been named after Worcester of Massachusetts. It is the second largest city of Massachusetts. While I traveled through the Heart of the Commonwealth, I was able to explore a lot of things that you can do in here. Even though this city is busy, it is quite friendly. Let’s take a look at the best things that you can do when you are in the city.

Art Museum

This museum houses over 35,000 artworks which date back to antiquity. I found collections from some of the big artists. What I loved the most was Paul Revere’s silver collection. There is also an armor gallery and mosaic display. It also has a gift shop where is collected the souvenirs for my loved ones back at home. There is a café there where they can sit down and relax while sipping on a cup of coffee.

Mechanics Hall

Mechanics Association had built it in the year 1857 for helping out the members to hone their manufacturing skills and gets to know about how to run milling machines. This hall was rebuilt in the year 1977 and was turned into a venue for performing arts and concert. Taking a tour, I felt as if I had stepped back in time. You can check out the amazing portraits which are featured on the building.

Crompton Collective

Do you love to shop or browse? Crompton market is a great boutique market where you will also find antique things along with the fresh produce. The place celebrates the independent makers. I was amazed by the extensive range of things that it had to offer. Check into the Canal District Farmers Market to buy some culinary goodies. There are cases where you can get some refreshment. It is going to be a great day out for your family.
