Towards the west of Chicago is the beautiful city of Wheaton. I explored a plethora of attractions in this city. As a matter of fact, there are so many things to do that you are never going to run out of options. When you visit Wheaton, here are a few things that you need to check out.
This is one of the prime attractions of the city. I spend several hours in this park. Just pick a spot and relax. This park will help you to get away from the daily drudgeries of your life. Take a leisurely stroll in the garden. However, if you want to be active, check out the nature trails. There is the First Division Museum where you will be able to learn a lot of things.
I had a fun and entertaining day at Cosley Zoo. It is a great place to visit with your family. There are native and farm animals that you will be able to see at the zoo. I caught a glimpse of red foxes, white-tail deer, coyote, and bobcats to name a few. Watch the animals being fed. This is going to be a unique experience. It is open through the year.
This is also called the outdoor tree museum by the founder. It covers an area of 1,700 acres and has over 222,000 plants. Spending time among nature helped me to unwind. Walk, explore, or have a picnic with your family. It is also known to host events such as origami and painting for kids.
Wheaton French Market is organized every Saturday from the month of April to the month of November. Here, you can buy some French-inspired jewelry, flowers, produce, crafts, and some foods. I collected some souvenirs to carry back home.
